The National Green Tribunal has announced Recruitment 2026 for 3 vacancies on a deputation basis under Advertisement No. NGT/16/Admn/2016/Vol. IX/472, dated 16 October 2026.
The vacancies are as follows:
Deputy Registrar – 2 Posts
Chennai: 1 post
Bhopal: 1 post
Assistant Registrar – 1 Post
Pune: 1 post
The deputation period will ordinarily be 3 years and may extend up to a maximum of 5 years. Only eligible and willing Indian nationals may apply.

1. Deputy Registrar
Bachelor's degree in Law from a recognised university.
Must fulfil either of the following service requirements:
Holding an analogous post on a regular basis in the Central/State Government, courts, or tribunals; OR
5 years of regular service in Pay Band-3 (₹15,600–₹39,100) with Grade Pay of ₹6,600 (Level 11), as per the 7th CPC.
2. Assistant Registrar
Bachelor's degree in Law.
Must fulfil any one of the following service requirements:
Holding an analogous post on a regular basis in the Central/State Government, courts, or tribunals; OR
5 years of regular service in Pay Band-2 (₹9,300–₹34,800) with Grade Pay of ₹5,400 (Level 9); OR
6 years of regular service with Grade Pay of ₹4,800 (Level 8); OR
7 years of regular service with Grade Pay of ₹4,600 (Level 7); OR
10 years of regular service with Grade Pay of ₹4,200 (Level 6).
