NexEra Legal LLP is inviting applications for the position of Legal Associate to join its litigation team in Mohali / Chandigarh. The role primarily focuses on financial litigation, involving case-file review, analysis of financial records, assessment of legal issues and evidence, drafting and management of litigation matters.
• Review case files, financial records, agreements and correspondence
• Assess legal issues, merits, evidence and limitation periods
• Analyse financial figures, charges, interest and related information
• Prepare structured case assessments and reports for lawyers
• Support pre-litigation preparation and decisions regarding case progression
• Draft pleadings, court forms and other litigation documents under supervision
• Track ongoing matters, procedural requirements and critical deadlines
• Support the management of large litigation portfolios through structured case-management processes
• Maintain confidentiality and handle client information responsibly
• Coordinate with legal teams working across different time zones, when required
• LL.B. / Law degree
• Advocate enrolled with the relevant State Bar Council
• Strong legal research and drafting skills
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical abilities
• Confidence working with numbers, financial records and spreadsheets
• Ability to manage deadlines and work accurately under pressure
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Comfortable with desk-based, process-driven legal work
• Understanding of professional confidentiality and responsible data handling
• Experience in litigation, consumer disputes, financial disputes, legal operations, banking, insurance or high-volume case management is an advantage
