IDFC FIRST Bank is hiring a Legal Associate on an off-roll basis in Kolkata. The role focuses on litigation and recovery matters, including proceedings under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, Section 25 of PASSA, and related recovery and arbitration matters.
• Handle matters under Section 138 of the NI Act and Section 25 of PASSA
• Manage recovery and litigation cases
• Attend court proceedings and coordinate with empanelled advocates
• Draft legal notices, complaints and other legal documents
• Coordinate with police and concerned authorities
• Manage litigation portfolios and conduct regular follow-ups
• Manage the Loss on Sale (LOS) portfolio
• Track case updates and ensure timely legal action
• LL.B. is mandatory
• 1–2 years of experience in NBFC, recovery or legal litigation
• Experience in Section 138, Section 25 of PASSA and Arbitration preferred
• Strong drafting and communication skills
• Ability to handle field and court-related responsibilities
