The High Court of Jharkhand, Ranchi is the constitutional court for the State of Jharkhand. The Court offers opportunities for legal research and judicial assistance through its Law Researcher / Research Associate engagement.
Post Details
The High Court of Jharkhand is inviting applications for 25 Law Researchers / Research Associates on a contractual basis. The position provides practical exposure to judicial research, case briefing, precedent analysis and High Court proceedings while assisting in legal research-related work.
• Conduct legal research on matters assigned by the Court
• Analyse statutes, judgments and legal precedents
• Prepare case briefs, research notes and legal summaries
• Assist with precedent analysis and judicial research
• Support preparation and organisation of case-related materials
• Gain exposure to High Court proceedings and judicial functioning
• Fresh Law Graduates / Postgraduates from a University/College recognised by the Bar Council of India
• Students in the 5th year of a 5-year law course may apply
• Students in the final year of a 3-year LL.B. may also apply, subject to passing the final-year examination before engagement
• Minimum 60% aggregate marks
• All examinations must have been passed in the first attempt
• Age: 21–28 years
• Candidates familiar with computers will be preferred
• Candidates pursuing a postgraduate degree or other programme requiring compulsory attendance are not eligible
• Practicing lawyers require recommendation from a designated Senior Advocate
• Non-practicing candidates require recommendation from the Head of their last Law School/College/University
