The High Court of Jharkhand is the constitutional High Court of the State of Jharkhand, established on 15 November 2000 following the bifurcation of Bihar. The Court undertakes judicial and legal functions relating to matters arising within the State.

The High Court of Jharkhand, Ranchi, is inviting applications for 25 Law Researchers / Research Associates on a contractual basis. The position offers an opportunity to assist the Court in legal research and related judicial work while gaining practical exposure to court functioning and legal analysis.
• Conduct legal research on matters assigned by the Court
• Research statutes, case laws and relevant legal materials
• Assist in preparation of research notes and legal analysis
• Support judges/relevant court offices with research-related work
• Analyse legal issues and prepare concise research material
• Assist with other duties assigned during the engagement
• Fresh Law Graduates/Postgraduates from a University/College recognised by the Bar Council of India
• Students in the 5th year of a 5-year LL.B. course or final year of a 3-year LL.B. course may also apply, subject to passing the final-year LL.B. examination before engagement
• Candidates familiar with computers will be preferred
• Must have passed all examinations in the first attempt
• Minimum 60% aggregate marks required
• Candidates pursuing a postgraduate Law degree or another programme requiring compulsory attendance are not eligible
• Practicing lawyers must have their candidature recommended by a designated Senior Advocate
• Non-practicing candidates must have their candidature recommended by the Head of their last Law School/College/University
