NLU Delhi is inviting applications for one Research Associate under a Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA)-funded research project titled “Housing for All in Viksit Bharat: A Review of the Legal Framework and Procedural Bottlenecks to Optimise Affordable Housing in Delhi & Haryana.” The project involves mapping the legal framework governing housing in Delhi and Haryana and identifying legal and procedural bottlenecks through stakeholder consultations.
• Review and analyse statutes, policies, guidelines and regulatory frameworks
• Conduct doctrinal, empirical and comparative legal research
• Undertake literature reviews, case analysis and document analysis
• Support data-driven research and inquiries
• Assist in drafting research reports, briefs, research papers and working papers
• Coordinate with project investigators and external consultants
• Contribute to research on urban development, housing and allied legal issues
• LL.M. from a recognised Indian or foreign university
• Specialisation preferably in Constitutional Law, Real Estate Law or Urban Development Law
• Minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade
• Good academic record
• Demonstrable research work or publications
• Interest in urban studies, urban development, constitutional law, land and municipal laws, real estate or allied areas
Desirable Qualifications
• Familiarity with quantitative and/or qualitative research methods
• Experience in literature review, data collection, analysis and report writing
• Proficiency in MS Office and data-analysis tools
• Prior research-project experience
• Strong academic writing skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
