Bentham Legal is a legal-tech startup incubated and funded by the Indian School of Business (ISB). The organisation supports early-stage Indian founders with company incorporation, trademark registration, compliance, GST filings, contract drafting, private placement and fundraising documentation.

Bentham Legal is inviting applications for Legal Associate Intern positions. The internship provides practical exposure to intellectual property, corporate law, company incorporation, compliance, contracts and startup advisory work. Strong performers may receive a pre-placement offer for a full-time Associate role after completion of the internship.
• Conduct trademark searches
• Draft and file trademark applications and user affidavits
• Respond to trademark examination reports
• Assist with private limited company and LLP incorporation
• Handle SPICe+ and MCA portal filings
• Draft MOAs, AOAs and LLP agreements
• Assist with corporate compliance work
• Draft and review contracts, MOUs and shareholder agreements
• Assist with private placement and fundraising documentation
• Coordinate with Company Secretaries and Chartered Accountants
• Use internal legal-tech tools for incorporation and compliance work
• Contribute to legal content and client-facing assignments
• 4th or 5th-year law students or recent law graduates
• Prior internship experience in at least one of the following: IPR, Corporate Law, Private Placement or Overseas Direct Investment (ODI)
• Strong written communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
• Willingness to take ownership of client-facing work
• Candidates pursuing CS, CA or CMA qualifications will have an added advantage
