The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Mandi, is a statutory legal services institution working under the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987. It facilitates access to free legal aid, legal awareness, Lok Adalats and other legal services for eligible and vulnerable sections of society.

DLSA, Mandi is inviting applications for the position of Para Legal Volunteer (PLV). Selected volunteers will assist in spreading legal awareness, facilitating access to legal services and supporting the activities of the Legal Services Authority.
• Assist in creating awareness about legal rights and available legal services
• Help people access free legal aid and other services provided by legal services authorities
• Assist DLSA in legal awareness and outreach programmes
• Facilitate communication between beneficiaries and legal services institutions
• Support Lok Adalats and other legal services activities
• Assist in identifying persons from vulnerable and marginalised communities who require legal assistance
Eligible categories include:
• Teachers, including retired teachers
• Retired Government servants and senior citizens
• Anganwadi workers
• Doctors/physicians
• Students and law students until they enrol as advocates
• Members of non-political, service-oriented NGOs and clubs
• Members of women's neighbourhood groups, Maitri Sanghams and other self-help groups
• Members of marginalised/vulnerable groups
• Educated persons with good behaviour
• Persons serving long-term sentences in prisons
