Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP is inviting applications for the position of Assistant Manager (Data Privacy) in Hyderabad. The role involves advising clients on data protection and privacy compliance, developing privacy frameworks and controls, conducting risk assessments and supporting data governance and privacy impact assessments.
• Develop data protection policies and procedures in accordance with applicable privacy laws and regulations
• Conduct assessments to identify data privacy and protection risks
• Develop appropriate risk mitigation strategies for clients
• Monitor data processing activities for compliance with privacy laws and organisational policies
• Guide clients on Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs)
• Conduct privacy and risk assessments and support data governance initiatives
• Conduct application and privacy impact assessments
• Design and develop security and privacy frameworks
• Design or redesign processes and privacy controls
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and internal teams
• Bachelor's degree in Law, Information Technology or a related field
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in data protection or privacy compliance
• Knowledge of data protection laws and regulations
• Understanding of India's data protection and privacy framework
• CIPT, CIPM, CIPPE or related privacy certifications are preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and client-management skills
