A leading bank is hiring a Legal Officer for its Hyderabad operations. The role focuses on mitigating legal and financial risks associated with banking operations, loan documentation, asset recovery, and dispute resolution. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring that banking activities comply with applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
• Manage legal aspects of banking operations and loan agreements
• Oversee asset recovery and related legal proceedings
• Draft and review security documentation and loan-related legal documents
• Handle banking litigation and dispute resolution matters
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory frameworks and statutory laws
• Provide legal support on matters involving defaulting clients
• Assist in mitigating legal and financial risks for the bank
• Negotiate and coordinate with clients in default and other relevant stakeholders
• Legal professional with relevant banking/legal experience
• Strong understanding of Banking Regulations
• Knowledge of the Contract Act
• Knowledge of the Negotiable Instruments Act
• Knowledge of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to handle crisis situations effectively
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
