The Directorate of Prosecution, Government of NCT of Delhi, is responsible for conducting and coordinating criminal prosecutions on behalf of the State before courts in Delhi.

The Directorate of Prosecution, Government of NCT of Delhi, has announced recruitment for Assistant Public Prosecutor (APP), Group ‘A’ Gazetted posts through the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The position involves representing the State in criminal proceedings and requires candidates with a law degree and professional experience as an Advocate.

• Conduct criminal prosecutions on behalf of the Government
• Represent the State before competent courts
• Prepare and present prosecution cases
• Examine and cross-examine witnesses during proceedings
• Provide legal advice and assist in prosecution-related matters
• Analyse evidence and legal issues relevant to criminal cases
• Handle courtroom advocacy and prosecution proceedings

• Degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized University
• Minimum 3 years of active practice at the Bar as an Advocate
• Maximum age: 35 years for General/UR candidates
• Applicable age relaxations available for reserved categories as per Government rules
• Candidates must satisfy all eligibility conditions prescribed by UPSC
