Kshetry & Co. is hiring Associate Advocates for its litigation team, with four vacancies across lower courts and the Calcutta High Court. The role involves independent handling of litigation matters, court appearances, drafting, legal research, case preparation, and client coordination.
• Appear and handle matters before lower courts and the Calcutta High Court
• Move matters and advance court proceedings
• Handle civil and criminal litigation
• Draft petitions, applications, affidavits, and legal notices
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategy
• Prepare cases and coordinate with clients
• Brief senior counsel wherever required
• Conduct hearings and arguments
• Must be enrolled with the Bar Council
• Associate Advocate – Lower Courts: 4+ years of experience, including at least 3 years of independent court practice
• Associate Advocate – Calcutta High Court: 4+ years of substantial High Court litigation experience
• Experience in writ petitions, CRR, CRM, CO, PIL, police inaction matters, and other civil/criminal matters is preferred for the High Court role
• Strong drafting and legal research skills
• Good knowledge of court procedures and litigation practice
• Ability to independently prepare and conduct cases
