AK & Partners is hiring for Associate and Principal Associate positions in its General Corporate practice. The roles involve independently managing corporate and regulatory matters, advising clients and handling sophisticated transactions in the financial-services sector.
• Independently manage corporate and regulatory matters from start to finish
• Advise clients on RBI, FEMA, payment systems, NBFC, IRDAI, SEBI and PMLA matters
• Handle corporate advisory and transactional assignments
• Work on M&A and financial regulatory matters
• Manage client relationships and provide direct legal advice
• Supervise and mentor junior associates
• Manage complex transactions and regulatory matters
• Contribute to knowledge development and thought leadership
• For Principal Associates, support team leadership and business development
Associate:
• Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience
• Experience in corporate advisory, M&A or financial regulatory compliance
• Experience at a law firm or in-house at a regulated entity
• Genuine transactional matter ownership
• Strong client advisory and matter management skills
• Leadership/mentoring experience preferred
Principal Associate:
• Minimum 8 years of post-qualification experience
• Experience in corporate advisory, M&A, financial regulatory, banking & finance or related transactional practice
• Ability to independently manage complex transactions and regulatory matters
• Strong client relationship and business development skills
• Leadership and legal team management experience
• Experience with RBI, FEMA, NBFC, SEBI, IRDAI, PMLA, fintech or financial-services matters strongly preferred
