The Office of Hon'ble Mr. Justice M.M. Sundresh, Judge, Supreme Court of India, is inviting applications for Judicial Internships for October and November 2026. The internship provides students with an opportunity to gain exposure to judicial work and the functioning of the Supreme Court.
Post Details
The internship is designed for eligible law students who wish to gain practical exposure to judicial proceedings, legal research and brief preparation in the office of a sitting Supreme Court Judge.
• Conduct legal and case-law research on assigned matters
• Study judgments, pleadings and other case-related documents
• Assist with preparation and analysis of case briefs
• Prepare typed briefs as part of the selection process
• Analyse legal issues arising in cases before the Court
• Assist with research relating to ongoing judicial matters
• Observe and understand court proceedings and judicial processes
• Assist the judicial law clerk's office with assigned research and case-related work
• 5-Year B.A. LL.B. / equivalent: Students in the 4th or final year
• 3-Year LL.B.: Students in the 2nd year (4th semester) or final year
• Candidates must meet the prescribed year/semester requirements for the relevant internship month
Applications will be accepted only through the prescribed Google Form.
October 2026 Internship: Apply by 10 September 2026
November 2026 Internship: Apply by 10 October 2026
Selection Process
• Shortlisted candidates will be notified approximately two weeks before the internship commencement date.
• Final selection will be based on the applicant's merit and performance in a typed brief-making exercise.
• Applicants who do not receive any communication should consider their application unsuccessful.
