ISI, Bengaluru is inviting applications for the position of Part-Time Consultant (Legal) on a contractual basis. The selected Consultant will provide legal advice, assist with litigation and arbitration matters, and handle various legal and contractual issues concerning the Institute.
• Provide legal opinions on matters concerning the Institute
• Prepare para-wise comments for OAs, Writ Petitions, SLPs, PILs, and other court matters
• Advise on RTI and service-related issues
• Scrutinize counter affidavits prepared by counsel
• Vet contracts, tenders, MoUs, agreements, and other legal documents
• Represent the Institute in arbitral proceedings
• Attend court hearings on behalf of the Institute, where required
• Handle pending and new cases before courts, tribunals, and commissions
• Monitor records of pending litigation
• Advise on employee disputes, construction and estate matters, arbitration, contracts, and service-related settlements
• LL.B. degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised university/institute recognised by the Bar Council of India
• Eligibility to be registered as an Advocate with a State Bar Council or the Bar Council of India
• At least 10 years of legal practice before a Court of Law, OR
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Government Departments, including handling court cases
• Knowledge of Government rules, RTI matters, Patent and IPR, and service matters is desirable

Additional Information
• Mode: Part-Time, Contractual
• Office Attendance: At least 3 hours per day on all working days
• The Consultant must be available for consultation beyond office hours, including holidays, when required
• Maximum Age Limit: 62 years as on 1 July 2026
• Fixed consolidated remuneration: ₹40,000–₹50,000 per month, plus applicable taxes
• No additional allowances or benefits are admissible
• The engagement is purely temporary and contractual and does not confer any right to regular appointment
• Selection will involve screening followed by an interview for shortlisted candidates
