State Bank of India (SBI) has invited applications for the recruitment of Assistant Manager (Law) – JMGS-I and Deputy Manager (Law) – MMGS-II under the Specialist Cadre Officer (SCO) Recruitment 2026. Selected candidates will handle legal matters, litigation, banking documentation, recovery proceedings, and provide legal support across the bank's operations. A total of 49 vacancies have been announced.
• Handle litigation and legal proceedings involving the bank
• Provide legal opinions on banking and commercial matters
• Draft, review, and vet legal documents and agreements
• Coordinate with advocates and external legal counsel
• Manage recovery and enforcement proceedings
• Ensure compliance with banking laws and regulatory requirements
• Represent the bank in legal matters as required
• LL.B. degree from a recognized University in India (3-year or 5-year Integrated Law Course)
• Assistant Manager (Law): Minimum 2 years' experience as a practicing advocate or Law Officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank
• Deputy Manager (Law): Minimum 4 years' experience as a practicing advocate or Law Officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank
• Enrolment with the Bar Council is required.
