Kotak Mahindra Bank is inviting applications for the position of Legal Manager – Loan Against Property (Hardship Assistance Unit) at its Ahmedabad office. The selected candidate will provide legal support to the Loan Against Property team by ensuring regulatory compliance, managing legal documentation, mitigating legal risks, and advising on banking and finance matters.

  • • Provide legal support to the Loan Against Property (LAP) team
    • Review loan agreements, security documents, and other legal contracts
    • Advise on legal risks and recommend mitigation strategies
    • Collaborate with credit, collections, and operations teams
    • Lead and mentor the legal team
    • Monitor legal and regulatory developments and recommend policy updates
    • Conduct legal research and provide legal opinions
    • Represent the bank in legal proceedings, negotiations, and mediations, where required
    • Coordinate with external legal counsel
  • • LL.B. degree or equivalent legal qualification
    • Enrolled with the Bar Council of India or possess a valid licence to practise law
    • Minimum 8 years of legal experience, preferably in banking and finance
    • Experience in managing legal teams and providing strategic legal advice
    • Strong understanding of Indian Contract Law, Property Law, and Banking Regulations
    • Excellent analytical, legal research, and communication skills
