The European Union (EU) Delegation to India represents the European Union in its diplomatic, political, trade, and development relations with India. It works closely with EU Member States and Indian authorities to implement cooperation programmes in areas such as human rights, democracy, migration, sustainable development, and international partnerships.

Post Details
The European Union Delegation to India is inviting applications for the position of Project Officer (Group I) in its Cooperation Section. The selected candidate will support the implementation, monitoring, and reporting of EU-funded projects relating to Human Rights, Democracy, Migration, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and other thematic areas. The appointment is on a two-year fixed-term contract with the possibility of renewal.

  • • Manage and monitor EU-funded cooperation projects
    • Coordinate with government authorities, international organizations, and project partners
    • Conduct policy research and prepare analytical reports
    • Assist in project planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation
    • Review project budgets, reports, and financial documentation
    • Represent the EU Delegation at meetings, workshops, and official events
    • Support strategic communication and visibility activities
  • • Master's Degree in International Law, Human Rights, Political Science, Economics, Social Sciences, Political Economy, or an equivalent discipline
    • Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience after obtaining the qualifying degree
    • Excellent command of English (C2 Level)
    • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
    • Right to work and reside in India
