The HAL Defence Public Sector Undertaking Chair in Business Laws was established in collaboration with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) to promote research, policy engagement, and academic excellence in business laws and defence sector legal issues.

Post Details
NLSIU invites applications for the position of Associate Professor under the HAL Defence Public Sector Chair in Business Laws. The position focuses on teaching, research, training, and policy engagement in areas such as contract law, property law, corporate governance, dispute resolution, and defence sector laws. The appointment is on a contractual basis for five years and may be extended at the discretion of the University.

  • Teach courses in academic programmes as assigned by the University
    • Conduct research in contract law, property law, corporate governance, and other areas of business law
    • Develop training programmes in contracts, negotiations, and dispute resolution
    • Organize conferences, workshops, and academic events relating to defence sector laws
    • Contribute to policy discussions and legal scholarship in business laws and defence public sector undertakings
  • Qualifications as prescribed by NLSIU and UGC norms for the position of Associate Professor
    • Strong academic and research credentials in law and allied disciplines
    • Experience in teaching, research, or professional practice relevant to business laws and related areas
    • Indian citizens are eligible to apply as per the notification requirements
