How to Apply

National Company Law Appellate Tribunal is a statutory appellate tribunal established under the Companies Act, 2013. It hears appeals against orders passed by the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board authorities, Competition Commission of India, and other designated bodies. The Chennai Bench plays a crucial role in handling corporate and insolvency matters arising from southern India.

  • Supervise the functioning of the Registry.
  • Manage filing, scrutiny, and processing of appeals and petitions.
  • Ensure maintenance of judicial records and case files.
  • Coordinate court proceedings and cause list management.
  • Monitor compliance with tribunal procedures and regulations.
  • Assist Members of the Tribunal in administrative and procedural matters.
  • Supervise registry staff and administrative personnel.
  • Handle correspondence, record management, and tribunal administration.
  • Ensure timely processing of judicial and administrative work.
  • Candidates should generally be:

    • Officers of the Central Government, State Government, Courts, Tribunals, or equivalent institutions.
    • Holding analogous posts on a regular basis; or
    • Officers with the prescribed years of service in relevant pay levels as specified in the official notification.
    • Possessing experience in:
      • Court administration
      • Judicial or quasi-judicial institutions
      • Registry management
      • Legal and administrative procedures
      • Degree in Law from a recognized university.
      • Experience in High Courts, Tribunals, or Judicial Services.
      • Knowledge of company law and insolvency procedures.
      • Strong administrative and supervisory skills.
      • Experience in case management systems and court administration.
