How to Apply

The Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD), Government of India, is the apex ministry responsible for formulating and implementing policies, laws, and programmes related to the welfare, protection, and empowerment of women and children across the country

  • Conduct policy research and legal research.
  • Assist in pilot projects and micro-studies.
  • Analyze government schemes and welfare programmes.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and policy notes.
  • Participate in discussions on women and child welfare issues.
  • Support programme evaluation and research activities.
  • Contribute to policy analysis and governance initiatives. 
  • Applications are invited from women students, scholars, social activists, and teachers.
  • Candidates must be enrolled in or associated with a university, academic institution, or non-academic institution.
  • Applicants should belong to non-tier I cities or rural areas of India.
  • Age limit: 21–40 years.
  • Preference may be given to candidates with strong academic and research backgrounds.

Application Process

  1. Visit the official MWCD Internship Portal.
  2. Complete the online application form.
  3. Upload the required documents.
  4. Submit the application before 10 June 2026.

Applications are accepted between the 1st and 10th day of the month, two months prior to the commencement of the internship batch.


Number of Seats

20 Interns per Batch.
