How to Apply

The Ministry of Power is the nodal ministry of the Government of India responsible for the development of the power sector, including electricity generation, transmission, distribution, and policy formulation. It plays a crucial role in power sector reforms, regulatory governance, and implementation of national electricity policies.

  • Conduct research on legal and regulatory issues in the power sector.
  • Study the Electricity Act, National Electricity Policy, Tariff Policy, and related regulations.
  • Draft legal briefs, notes, reports, and summaries.
  • Assist ministry officials in documentation and legal review work.
  • Support policy initiatives, stakeholder consultations, and committee assignments.
  • Prepare and present a final report or presentation at the end of the internship. 
  • Students pursuing LL.B., LL.M., or Ph.D. in Law from a recognized university in India.
  • Recent law graduates (within six months of graduation) may apply.
  • LL.B. students must have completed or appeared in the term-end examination of the second year (or equivalent semester).
  • LL.M. students must have completed or appeared in the first year/second semester.
  • Ph.D. scholars in Law are eligible.
  • Strong legal research, drafting, and communication skills are desirable.
