How to Apply

The National Human Rights Commission is India's premier statutory human rights institution established under the Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993. The Commission is responsible for the protection and promotion of human rights, investigation of human rights violations, policy recommendations, research, awareness generation, and monitoring of human rights issues across the country

  • Conduct research and analysis on human rights issues.
  • Assist in preparation of reports, policy papers, and documentation.
  • Undertake thematic studies and data collection.
  • Support seminars, workshops, and awareness programmes.
  • Contribute to policy recommendations and institutional research.
  • Assist NHRC divisions in human rights-related assignments and projects. 
  • LL.B. degree or
  • Postgraduate degree in Social Sciences such as Political Science, Sociology, International Relations, Social Work, Human Rights, Developmental Communications, etc.
  • Minimum 60% marks in the qualifying examination.
  • Desirable qualifications include LL.M., M.Phil., Ph.D., published research work, or relevant research experience.
  • Candidates should be below 32 years of age.
  • Practical experience in dealing with human rights issues is preferred.
