The Department of Legal Affairs (DLA) operates under the Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India. It is responsible for providing legal advice to the Central Government, handling litigation involving the Union of India, and assisting in legislative drafting and policy-related legal work. It plays a key role in the administration of justice and government legal affairs.

  • Legal research and case law analysis
  • Assisting in drafting legal opinions and notes
  • Exposure to constitutional, administrative, and contract law work
  • Supporting litigation and advisory divisions
  • Understanding government policy and legal decision-making
  • Preparing reports and research summaries
  • Indian citizens
  • Law students who have completed 2nd year (3-year course) or 3rd year (5-year course)
  • Law graduates from recognized universities
  • Preference for candidates with MS Office / research skills
  • Must be willing to work full-time in offline mode
