How to Apply

Competition Commission of India is the statutory regulator responsible for promoting and sustaining competition in Indian markets, preventing anti-competitive practices, and protecting consumer interests under the Competition Act, 2002.

  • Conduct research on competition law and policy issues
  • Assist officers in legal and economic analysis assignments
  • Prepare research papers, briefs, reports, and presentations
  • Study competition-related market practices and regulatory developments
  • Participate in orientation sessions and project presentations
  • Support various divisions of the Commission in assigned projects
  • tudents pursuing 3-year LL.B., 5-year Integrated LL.B., LL.M., Economics, Management, or related disciplines from recognized institutions
  • For Law Students:
    • 2nd & 3rd year students of 3-year LL.B. courses
    • 4th & 5th year students of 5-year integrated law courses
    • LL.M. students
  • Candidates should have a demonstrated interest in Competition Law and Policy
  • Students with confirmed job placements are generally not eligible
  • Interested candidates must submit:

    • Prescribed application form
    • Recommendation letter from their institution
    • Statement of Purpose (approximately 200 words)
    • Other supporting documents as required by the internship guidelines

    Applications should be submitted in the prescribed format before the 1st day of the month preceding the intended internship month.

    Selection Process

    • Screening of applications based on academic performance and suitability
    • Selection by the Competition Commission of India as per internship guidelines
