TANDA, School of Social Work, TISS Mumbai is a field action initiative of Tata Institute of Social Sciences focused on social justice, community empowerment, and development work among Nomadic and De-Notified Tribes (NT-DNT communities).

  • Work closely with NT-DNT communities at the grassroots level
  • Conduct community mobilization and leadership activities
  • Participate in action research and field interventions
  • Support formation and strengthening of community-led organisations
  • Promote constitutional literacy and social awareness
  • Coordinate with mentors and programme teams for project implementation
  • Only candidates belonging to NT and DNT communities are eligible
  • Age: 20–40 years
  • 2–3 years of experience working with NT-DNT communities preferred
  • Graduates in any discipline may apply
  • Preference for graduates in:
    • Social Work
    • Social Sciences
    • Health
    • Law
  • Educational qualification may be relaxed for exceptional experienced candidates

  3. 10 selected fellows may receive third-year support of ₹15,000 per month based on performance and organisational development work
