How to Apply

The High Court of Judicature at Bombay has invited applications for the appointment of Judicial Research Assistants on a contractual basis. Selected candidates will work directly with Hon’ble Judges of the Bombay High Court and its benches, assisting in judicial research, legal analysis, and court-related assignments. A total of 24 vacancies have been announced for Mumbai, Nagpur, Aurangabad, and Kolhapur benches.

  • Conducting legal and judicial research
  • Assisting Hon’ble Judges in legal analysis and case preparation
  • Preparing memoranda, legal notes, and summaries
  • Attending court proceedings and maintaining research records
  • Assisting in drafting and related judicial work
  • Supporting judges in case-law and precedent research
  • Performing tasks assigned by the concerned Judge beyond court hours when required 
  • Law graduates who passed LL.B. in the first attempt with minimum 55% marks, OR
  • Candidates possessing an LL.M. degree
  • Preference may be given to candidates with postgraduate qualifications in Law
  • Basic computer proficiency and knowledge of legal research software/databases required
  • Age limit: 21–30 years as on application date 
  • Personal Interview only (50 marks)
  • Minimum qualifying marks: 25
  • Final selection subject to approval of the Hon’ble Chief Justice

₹500 through Postal Order or Demand Draft payable to:
“Assistant Registrar for Registrar General, High Court, A.S., Bombay”
