How to Apply

National Law Institute University is one of India’s premier National Law Universities. The positions are being offered under the DPIIT IPR Chair established by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. The IPR Chair focuses on intellectual property law research, policy analysis, academic development, and capacity building in the field of Intellectual Property Rights. 

  • Assisting in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) research
  • Supporting policy analysis and academic projects
  • Drafting reports, legal notes, and research documentation
  • Assisting in project work under the DPIIT IPR Chair
  • Conducting legal and academic research in IP Law
  • Supporting institutional and research-oriented assignments  
  • Research Assistant

    • Graduate; OR
    • PG/LL.M. Degree; OR
    • PhD Scholar
    • Preferable age limit: Below 35 years

    Interns

    • 3rd, 4th, and 5th year students of 5-year integrated LL.B. course
    • 2nd and 3rd year students of 3-year LL.B. course
    • Students pursuing/completed LL.M. in Intellectual Property Law
    • PhD Scholars engaged in IPR research

Interested candidates are required to appear for the Walk-in Interview along with:

  • Hard copy of prescribed application form
  • Self-attested copies of educational qualifications
  • Experience certificates and supporting documents


  • Research Assistant:
    • Graduate: ₹47,000 per month
    • PG/LL.M.: ₹57,000 per month
    • PhD Scholars: ₹67,000 per month
  • Interns: ₹10,000 per month
