The Ministry of Women and Child Development is the nodal body of the Government of India responsible for policy formulation, implementation, and administration of laws and programmes concerning women and child welfare across the country.

The Ministry offers a structured internship programme for women students, scholars, social activists, and teachers who wish to engage in policy research, pilot projects, and micro-studies related to the Ministry’s ongoing schemes and initiatives.

  • Provide qualitative exposure to public policy and governance
  • Encourage field-based research and policy analysis
  • Develop future advocates and professionals working on women and child rights
  • Women candidates from Non-Tier I cities and rural areas of India
  • Women students, scholars, teachers, or social activists
  • Candidates must be enrolled in or associated with any university, academic, or non-academic institution
  • Age limit: 21 to 40 years
