The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has announced the next edition of its Internship Programme aimed at providing meaningful exposure to the functioning of the Ministry. The initiative seeks to promote greater inclusivity, diversity, and representation across educational backgrounds, regions, and socio-economic groups.

Internships are offered in two terms each year:

April – September

October – March

Each intern will be engaged for a period ranging from one to three months.

Indian citizens who are:

  • Graduates from a recognised university, or
  • Final-year undergraduate students where internship is a mandatory academic requirement
  • Candidates must be 25 years or below as on 31 December of the internship year
