The Young Professional (Legal) position is a full-time, contractual role designed to provide direct support to the Cooperative Ombudsman. You will be at the forefront of handling complex legal mandates, ensuring that the grievance redressal mechanism functions with precision and academic analysis.

Legal Research: Conducting exhaustive research on the Multi-State Co-operative Societies Act and other relevant central statutes.

Case Management: Assisting the Ombudsman in reviewing complaints, preparing case summaries, and tracking the progress of ongoing disputes.

Drafting & Advisory: Preparing well-structured legal notes, opinions, and draft orders for the Ombudsman’s review.

To qualify for the Young Professional (Legal) at the Ministry of Cooperation, candidates must meet the following official benchmarks:

Age Limit: Must not be more than 32 years of age.

Essential Qualification: LL.B. from any National Law University (NLU), National Law School, or any recognized institution in India.

Mandatory Experience: A minimum of 1 year of professional legal experience.

Desirable Qualification: A Postgraduate Degree in Law (LL.M.) is preferred.

Domain Expertise: Preference will be given to candidates with specific experience in matters related to Multi-State Cooperative Societies.

Skills: Exceptional drafting orientation, research-focused mindset, and high professional ethics.
