How to Apply

The Legal Aid Defense Counsel System (LADCS) functions under the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) to provide free and effective legal representation to accused persons under the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987.

Represent accused persons in criminal trials

  • Draft bail applications, replies, and arguments

  • Conduct trial work including examination of witnesses

  • Prepare legal strategy and case documentation

  • Coordinate with courts and legal aid authorities

  • Educational Qualification: LL.B (LL.M / Ph.D. desirable)

  • Experience:

    • Substantial experience in criminal practice

  • Professional Requirements:

    • Experience certificates

    • Copies of criminal judgments, charge orders, bail orders, vakalatnamas

  • Skills: Knowledge of legal software & IT tools

  • Mode: Offline submission to concerned District Legal Services Authority

  • Documents Required:

    • Application form

    • Proof of criminal practice

    • Judgments, bail orders, vakalatnamas

    • Experience certificates

  • Selection: Scrutiny of documents + Interview
