How to Apply

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) is the nodal ministry of the Government of India responsible for foreign policy, international relations, and diplomatic engagements. The Multilateral Economic Relations (MER) Division handles India’s engagement with multilateral forums such as BRICS and coordinates economic diplomacy with international organizations.

  • Assist BRICS Working Groups (Trade, Finance, Agriculture, Energy, ICT, Labour, etc.)
  • Draft concept notes, background papers, analytical briefs

  • Prepare draft outcome documents for BRICS meetings

  • Assist during negotiations and track country positions

  • Prepare presentations, interventions, and position papers

  • Coordinate with Ministries, Think Tanks, International Organizations

  • Maintain meeting records and documentation

  • Any work assigned by the Head of Division

  • Nationality: Indian only

  • Educational Qualification:
    Master’s degree or higher from a recognized Indian/International University in:

    • Economics

    • International Law

    • International Relations

    • Development Studies / Public Administration

    • International Trade / Energy / Environment / Labour Economics / allied subjects

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year consultancy experience in a relevant field

  • Skills:

    • Policy research & analytical drafting

    • Negotiation document drafting

    • Computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Age Limit: Not more than 35 years as on last date
