Call for Articles:
The Centre for Studies in Legal Theory (CSLT), Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur, invites submissions for the September 2026 issue of Nyayarth, its newsletter.

The theme for this issue is:

“The Afterlife of Law: What Survives When a Legal Rule Changes?”

The theme invites contributors to explore what remains of law beyond formal legal change, including questions of legal continuity, institutional memory, changing legal norms and the relationship between law, morality and authority.

Broad Areas of Discussion:
• Normative residue and desuetude
• Temporal jurisprudence and transitional justice
• Institutional memory and executive habit
• Theoretical paradigms of legal change
• Repeal and validity
• Law and morality
• Rights and duties after rule changes
• Legal fictions
• Obedience, custom and living law beyond formal authority

Submission Guidelines:
• Word Limit: 1,000–1,200 words
• Co-authorship: Up to 2 authors
• Format: .doc / .docx
• Similarity Index: Not exceeding 10%
• References: Hyperlinks; where unavailable, Bluebook 21st Edition endnotes
• Originality: Submissions must be original and unpublished
