About the Organizers
Amrita International School of Law (AISL), Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, promotes interdisciplinary and research-oriented legal education, integrating law with political science, sociology, economics, public policy and governance.
The Amrita Centre for Constitutional and Jurisprudential Research (ACJR) focuses on research in constitutional law, governance, public policy and contemporary jurisprudence.
The Indian Society of Criminology (ISC), established in 1970 at the Department of Criminology, University of Madras, is a professional and academic organisation working towards the advancement of criminology, criminal justice and allied disciplines in India.
About the Conference
The Amrita Centre for Constitutional and Jurisprudential Research, in collaboration with the Indian Society of Criminology, is organising a two-day National Conference on “New Generation Crimes: The Interface between Constitution and Criminology” on November 25–26, 2026.
The conference will examine emerging forms of crime and evolving methods of crime prevention and investigation through the lenses of criminology and constitutional law, with particular focus on artificial intelligence, algorithmic policing, surveillance technologies, cybercrime, digital evidence and neurotechnology.
The central concern of the conference is: As the State’s capacity to detect, predict and prevent crime expands, where should the constitutional limits of that power be drawn?

Submission Guidelines
Authors intending to present a paper must submit an abstract of 300–500 words containing the following:
- Title
- Research problem or central question
- Objectives and scope
- Principal argument or findings
- Relevance to the conference theme or sub-theme
- Author name(s) and institutional affiliation
- Designation/programme of study
- Email address and contact number
- Selected sub-theme
- 4–6 keywords
Co-authorship is permitted up to a maximum of two authors.
Authors of accepted abstracts will be invited to submit a full paper of 6,000–8,000 words, including footnotes and references. Submissions must follow the Oxford Standard for the Citation of Legal Authorities (OSCOLA).

Publication Opportunity
Selected papers presented at the conference will be considered for publication, subject to peer review, editorial evaluation and manuscript quality.
Depending on quality and suitability, selected contributions may be considered for an edited book/publication with a reputed publisher, conference proceedings, or publication through a reputed academic journal, subject to applicable editorial and peer-review requirements.
Presentation at the conference does not guarantee publication.

The registration fee entitles participants to attend the conference and receive a Certificate of Participation. Eligibility to present a paper and subsequent consideration for publication will be confirmed only upon acceptance of the abstract.
For co-authored papers, registration fees must be paid separately by each author.
