The journal accepts submissions on a rolling basis and considers eligible manuscripts for upcoming issues.
About the Journal
Solventia was established with the objective of promoting innovative scholarship and advanced research in insolvency and bankruptcy laws. It serves as a dedicated platform for academic and professional discourse on domestic and international insolvency-related legal and policy issues. The journal is published under the aegis of the Centre for Insolvency and Bankruptcy Studies, NLU Jodhpur.
It is a bi-annual, double-blind peer-reviewed and edited journal dedicated exclusively to insolvency and bankruptcy law, making it one of the few specialized academic journals in this field in India.

Submissions are invited from:

Categories & Word Limit
• Long Articles: 6,000–8,000 words (excluding footnotes)
• Short Articles: 3,000–6,000 words (excluding footnotes)
• Case Notes/Book Reviews: 1,500–2,000 words (excluding footnotes)
Submission Guidelines
• Manuscripts must be original and unpublished.
• Co-authorship is permitted for up to three authors.
• Submissions must be relevant to the scope of insolvency and bankruptcy laws.
• An abstract of not more than 200 words is mandatory.
• Manuscripts should not contain the author's name, affiliation, or identifying details.
• A separate cover page containing author details, affiliation, qualifications, and contact information must be submitted.
Citation Style
• OSCOLA (Oxford Standard for Citation of Legal Authorities), 4th Edition.
• Only footnotes should be used for citations.
• Speaking footnotes are generally discouraged except for necessary clarifications.
Editorial Process
• Three-stage blind peer review process.
• Detailed editorial evaluation conducted by the Board of Editors.
• Review process generally extends over several weeks following the submission deadline.
Publication Fee
• No publication fee or processing charge is levied at any stage of the editorial review process.
Mode of Submission
Manuscripts are submitted through the official submission portal/Google Form provided by the journal. Rolling submissions are also accepted through email for consideration in subsequent issues.
Important Note
The journal accepts manuscripts throughout the year on a rolling basis. Manuscripts received after a specific issue deadline are automatically considered for the next available issue.
