Submissions are invited for an edited volume titled “Arbitration and Mediation in Commercial Matters: Emerging Research Gaps in India”. The volume seeks to encourage scholarly discussion on evolving issues, emerging trends, and practical challenges in commercial arbitration and mediation, with a focus on India's developing Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) framework.
About the Volume
The growing importance of commercial transactions, international trade, and cross-border business relationships has increased the demand for effective dispute resolution mechanisms. Arbitration and mediation have become preferred methods for resolving commercial disputes due to their flexibility, confidentiality, efficiency, and party autonomy.
In light of recent legislative reforms and significant judicial developments, India has made considerable progress in strengthening its ADR ecosystem. This edited volume aims to critically examine contemporary issues and identify research gaps in commercial dispute resolution while contributing to academic and professional discourse on the future of arbitration and mediation in India and beyond.
